Reptile Edutainer

SUMMER Reptile EdutainerEmployment would run Spring – August 13thAverage hours 30-40/weekOptional work into October
- Primary responsibilities include educating the public in our facility as well as packing animals and traveling to various locations around the valley to perform stage shows. Need is for 3-5 days a week.
- Other responsibilities could include:
– Food prep– Feeding animals– Cleaning/filling water dishes– Cleaning enclosures– Simple vet care/medicating animals– Monitoring health of animals– Changing light bulbs– Changing substrates– Maintaining various bug colonies– Purchasing supplies– Helping with general cleanliness of the facility – Documentation of shows, animal care and other pertinent information.– Building up and tearing down of animal displays.
- Reptile eductainer may be cross trained on Birds if they would like more hours.

REQUIREMENTS:– MUST BE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OLD– Must have some background in performance arts or public speaking and some basic reptile/bird knowledge.– Must have a clean driving record for the last 3 years to apply.
– Must be able to lift 50lbs.
Bird Caretaker, Trainer and Edutainer

- Care includes cleaning enclosures, food bowls, perches, and toys at both of our holding locations (Kearns & Murray), Feeding, refilling water dishes, giving mist showers to birds and more.
- Training would include working with the birds to remember their tricks, and possibly helping them learn new tricks.
- Edutaining would packing up the birds, and traveling out to shows around the valley, performing, and doing some handling with a few of the birds.
- Need is for 3-5 days a week.
- Bird trainer can also be cross trained to perform reptile shows and will obtain more hours if they are able to do so.
- Eductainer will be responsible for collection of payments, documentation of shows, animal care and other pertinent information.
- May be asked to help with building up and tearing down of animal displays.

Front Desk Receptionist
- Summer Position – runs June 3rd – August 15th
- 30 hours a week: Wednesday – Sunday
- Pay $15/hr
- Hours roughly 10:30am – 5pm daily
- Job duties would include but not limited to: Checking patrons in, collecting ticket fees, counting money, answering phones and emails, booking appointments, answering and fielding questions, cooridination with event staff, managing the gift shop, helping with general cleaning and upkeep of the public areas of the facilty including floors and restrooms and general office duties.
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs.
- General knowledge and love of reptiles, bugs and birds important.
- Experience desired: Google Workspace, Excel, Word, credit card systems, and any kind of previous booking software.
- Other experience: We would love somone who is outgoing in person and on the phone, someone who loves animals and would love to help out this summer with being the liason between the general public and the staff.
Social Media Manager
- We are looking for an in house social media creator to create and post content.
- Budget is $300/month so roughly 5 hours a week.
- Channels we mange include: Instagram, Facebook, Tiktok, and YouTube
